Member Of The Month (November)

Today marks another milestone at Fulla Strength and Conditioning, as we present another recipient with the Member Of The Month Award.

This month has been exceptionally big for one of our long-time clients, who completed 2 obstacle course races (True Grit and Spartan Race) along with his regular training, working full-time and looking after a young bub at home.

It has been in the making for a long time and it is now fitting that he takes out the award!

Winning the award for November is, Peter Gaspar.

Fulla Strength and Conditioning

Peter is a client who epitomizes everything which we stand for and represent at FullaSC;

  • Having fitness as an integral part of your life

  • Always striving to become better physically and mentally

  • Prepared to learn, get feedback and move forward - The Kaizen principle
  • Lives a healthy and active lifestyle

Peter generally has a few goals which he is working towards at a given time, one of which is completing triathlons. This means he needs to develop multiple physical qualities.

He needs a big engine to keep his body moving for that length of time, a strong core to stabilise all his moving parts and also strength to produce the force necessary to move fast.

We have utilised 4-week programs to work on these areas and continue progressing month after month.

Recently we did a short interview with Pete to discuss his journey in a bit more detail. You can view that below;

Q1- WHEN DID YOU FIRST START TRAINING WITH FULLA SC (MONTH/YEAR)?

A- About a year and a half ago. Can’t remember exactly when but must of been around the end of cricket season.

Q2- WHAT KEEPS BRINGING YOU BACK?

A- The programs are tailored to my current goals and I get the accurate feedback that I need to do well with it and avoid getting hurt.

Q3- WHAT RESULTS HAVE YOU ACHIEVED SO FAR?

A- I started out wanting to avoid getting hurt while playing cricket and I was able to get through the entire season without injury. I have also competed in a few obstacle races and the City 2 Surf Half Marathon.

Q4- WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 3 MONTHS (IN TERMS OF RESULTS)?

A- I would like to have completed at least a couple of triathlons during the summer and would like to be working towards being able to complete the Olympic Distance for Triathlon.

Q5- WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT THE SERVICES PROVIDED AT FULLA SC?

A- That it is a bit more than just personal training. There is a community aspect to FullaSC that celebrates the successes of everyone.

There are numerous reasons that make up the criteria for a worthy winner, but one of the most important is consistency.

Peter has been training consistently for 18+ months and shows no signs of resting on his laurels, or accepting average. That is a hard trait to find, but he has that in abundance.

I know that Pete will keep training hard, be mindful of what he does outside the gym to continue to living a healthy, active life and will be a fantastic role model for his young son growing up!!

Once again, congratulations Pete. You're a thoroughly deserving winner.

Until next time,

Continue to work hard.
