Member Of The Month (March)

It's the beginning of April, already. I don't know where the year is going, but it's going quickly!

We want to keep up with the acknowledgement of our clients efforts, by announcing the latest recipient of our Member of The Month (MOTM) award.

The month of March saw a few of our regulars take a break from training, with some going down with illness and others away on holiday.

With that in mind we wanted to recognise the hard work of a lady who has been working diligently over a long period of time. This lady has been showing up, putting in lots of work and is becoming more and more comfortable with lifting heavy weights.

The winner for March is, Lisa Pelosi

Fulla Strength and Conditioning

Lisa started training with us after seeing how we work and approach our training with our clients. She hadn't really ventured too much into the 'heavy lifting' side of things and this was a different experience for her.

Fast-forward a few months and Lisa now feels much more comfortable lifting heavy loads and can do so with fantastic technique -- something we pride ourselves on!

Along the way she has learnt lots of new exercises and technique variations that we use to get the desired training effect (results).

We've really enjoyed Lisa's approach to training, with her paying particular attention to correct breathing and bracing before lifting. Something that a lot of people just brush over, or neglect!

She also demonstrates a willingness to learn and understand 'why' we are doing certain exercises or sets/reps. This known as being 'coachable'.

This trait allows her to continue making progress and learn the important parts of lifting, so she can get comfortable to employ these techniques when training on her own, which is a very common goal.

We conducted a brief interview with Lisa about her experience and training with us so far. You can view that below;

Q1- WHEN DID YOU FIRST START TRAINING WITH FULLA SC (MONTH/YEAR)?

A- Beginning of 2016

Q2- WHAT KEEPS BRINGING YOU BACK?

A- I really enjoy the weight training and I find my body responds really well to Jesse’s style.

Q3- WHAT RESULTS HAVE YOU ACHIEVED SO FAR?

A- Really good muscle tone and core strength.

Q4- WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 3 MONTHS (IN TERMS OF RESULTS)?

A- Well, I am unable to train for the next 3 months. But, what I generally see in that time period is my fitness, muscle tone and overall strength improving immensely.

Q5- WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT THE SERVICES PROVIDED AT FULLA SC?

A- Jesse is reliable, committed and he puts a lot of time and effort into personalising the training. He also keeps a good eye on what is working for your body and what might be unsuitable, then changes to suit.

We are always watching what our clients are doing, both inside the gym and outside the gym. It's not just what we see that gets taken into account!

We monitor our private Facebook group (For FullaSC athletes), our Nutrition Coaching Platform and regular check-ins with clients. All of this information, plus feedback we receive enables us to help our clients in the area they need it most.

Lisa's commitment to learning how to do things correctly is very admirable, it's also one of the things we look for in clients and is one of the main reasons we thought she was a worthy winner for March.

Lisa will be heading overseas soon, but has already asked us how to go about staying active while she's away. Which just shows the dedication she has to leading a healthy and active lifestyle.

Congratulations and well done Lisa! We know you'll keep up the great work in the future.

Until next time,

Be coachable
