Member Of The Month (January)

Today's article is dedicated to showing some love to one of my client's recent efforts, both inside and outside of the gym.

Our journey together dates back to about 2013-2014.

We first met when I was working in local government, running my famous HIIT sessions - those were some fun times!

Since then, she worked with me 1-on-1 in 2015 and in 2017 joined up to become a part of my small-group training family.

Needless to say, she has been super consistent with training and continues to apply herself to improve physically.

The MOTM for January 2018 is, Anna Ulupova.

Fulla Strength and Conditioning

Anna is someone who I look up to and respect for the way she lives her life and approaches each day.

Not every day is a good one, but regardless of how she is feeling, she always turns up to training with a smile on her face.

This positivity radiates off and spreads to myself and the rest of the group. That is an extremely rare and amazing trait to have!

As well as being a mother to two boys and being a wife, she continues to look for ways to improve herself.

Earlier this year she took the leap to work on her nutrition and has been making some big strides with the mental side of things.

Too often, people skim over the mental aspect and want to go straight for the physical, the training.

But since using our nutrition system, I have noticed a positive shift in her mindset.

Slowly, but surely, she has been becoming aware of more positives and embracing a 'growth mindset', which is very admirable.

Below is a quick interview I recently did with Anna discussing her journey and experience so far.

Q1- WHEN DID YOU FIRST START TRAINING WITH FULLA SC (MONTH/YEAR)?

A- I started to train with Jesse several years ago and was very happy to come back to participate in group training in his new gym last year.

Q2- WHAT KEEPS BRINGING YOU BACK?

A- Definitely the quality of the training, his attention to what his clients want to achieve and the support - not only with training, but nutrition as well.

Q3- WHAT RESULTS HAVE YOU ACHIEVED SO FAR?

A- I am stronger, fitter and have lost a bit of weight despite the festive season, too.

Q4- WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 3 MONTHS (IN TERMS OF RESULTS)?

A- I have some personal goals, but want to keep them private.

Q5- WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT THE SERVICES PROVIDED AT FULLA SC?

A- I enjoy the small-group training and the nutrition program really suits my family and I.

I want to say well done to Anna for sharing her experience and opening up about her progress.

This is an area that she doesn't completely feel comfortable with, but it's fantastic to see what she has done so far!

Anna has a very busy schedule and it's a credit to her getting her training in and making it all fit around her family life.

She doesn't make excuses - she simply does what's required, asks for help when she needs it and then pushes forward. That is a fantastic attitude to have.

Congratulations again, Anna. You've worked bloody hard and are a deserving winner of this award!

To anyone who has personal goals, if you feel comfortable, share them with people who you trust.

But if you don't, that's ok! Just keep them close to your chest and continue working towards them.

Until next time,

Keep improving yourself.

Jesse
