Hands-on coaching

  • ‘Knowing’ and ‘doing’ are two completely different things. You may *know* what to do (theory), but can’t yet execute it properly (application). That’s where expert coaching comes in — to bridge that gap and connect the dots between where you are, and where you want to be.

  • This is why you will receive hands-on, tactile feedback so you can feel where your body is, and what it should be doing from start to finish.

  • Every muscle and joint in your body has a purpose and specific function. This is why it’s important for you to know how to use them correctly and switch the muscles on and off like a light.

Concise Coaching Cues

  • A coaching cue is a short, specific instruction or reminder given to you to help improve your technique or performance. What do YOU think about before, during, and after a kettlebell exercise?

  • The language you use and the words you think about during a set or a repetition affect how you perform, positively or negatively. This comes down to communication and selecting the best coaching cue(s) for YOU.

  • The phrases you use or internalise determine what you place your focus on. The goal is to increase your attention on what is important and ignore what’s not useful or productive. To produce the most positive impact on your performance.

Keeping Things Simple

  • While there are a lot of things you could put your time and energy into. I only want you to do drills and troubleshooting exercises that make you better. This can be as simple as teaching you what Point A (start position) and what Point B (finish position) look like.

  • “More isn’t better, it’s just more”. Why do more exercises when you can get better results with fewer? You will learn only the best exercises and finally, discover how to master them.

  • Breaking the complex down into its simplest form is something Coach Jesse is very good at. Practicing your reps, drilling and troubleshooting your technique is what will take it from average to awesome.
