Member Of The Month (April)

The temperature is starting to get cooler in the mornings and the sun doesn't seem to be up for as long. That can only mean one thing - Winter is coming.

As another month ticks over, it's a chance for me to award yet another superstar as our Member Of The Month (MOTM).

During the month of April, we had one of our toughest 4-week programs for the group training teams. There was one exercise in particular which was dreaded after its inception, but this lady kept pushing through.

Although some of the exercises were new and tough for her, she perservered and ended up doing fantastically well over the course of the program

The winner for the month of April is, Suzanna Vos.

Fulla Strength and Conditioning

I was really excited when Suzanna joined up with the group in February.

Suzanna had been speaking with a close friend and current Fulla SC member, Anna, who said she should come down and give it a shot. Since then, Suzanna hasn't looked back.

She has integrated superbly within the group and always has a great time. Couple this with experiencing some great physical results, it really has been a good fit.

One of the things that I constantly look for in people is their mental capacity to give things a try and willingness to stretch themselves a little bit outside of the comfort zone.

Initially, Suzanna was a little reluctant, but after some gentle nudging in that direction - along with increased confidence in her abilities - she has displayed improvements in both physical and mental strength.

The mental aspect of training and achieving goals cannot be underestimated. It really can unlock a lot of doors for you and your goals.

I recently spent some time to ask Suzanna a few questions about her training experience and goals with us so far. You can view that below;

Q1- WHEN DID YOU FIRST START TRAINING WITH FULLA SC (MONTH/YEAR)?

A- Feb 2018.

Q2- WHAT KEEPS BRINGING YOU BACK?

A- I've been a member at gyms for over 30 years and have had 1-on-1 Personal Training before, but the added cost of gym membership works out to be quite expensive over time. With Jesse's professionalism and the commitment to the program, I've found my buzz for exercise!

The group training is fantastic for encouragement and support, which I've never experienced before. Jesse's gym is amazing, with all the equipment necessary to improve one's fitness, as well as being hygienic.

The four week programs are conducive in achieving milestones of success, too.

Q3- WHAT RESULTS HAVE YOU ACHIEVED SO FAR?

A- With Jesse's guidance and ongoing support I started gradually making sure that I didn't aggravate any old injuries.

I definitely feel stronger - going from a (Kettlebell) deadlift with minimal weight to Kettlebell swings in just 4 weeks, and lifting weights that I thought would take months to achieve.

I feel that my mental health has also improved with positivity in my mind and body. I'm also confident that my body shape has changed.

Q4- WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 3 MONTHS (IN TERMS OF RESULTS)?

A- To set realistic expectations on myself that I'm capable of achieving on the program, to become stronger and have a more defined body shape.

Q5- WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT THE SERVICES PROVIDED AT FULLA SC?

A- Jesse's professionalism, the ongoing support and the group training makes it easier to feel motivated along with other people involved.

It has been an absolute pleasure working with Suzanna so far.

She is the type of person who has the right mindset to turn up each week and work as hard as she can.

She will continue to work hard and I know that with our guidance and her work ethic, she will certainly hit the goals which she sets for herself.

Lastly, I want to mention the fun atmosphere which Suzanna has brought to the group. Everyone works hard, but there are also some fun moments and jokes, which really makes it enjoyable, too.

Your hard work has definitely paid off, Suzanna! I can only see big things ahead for you and your training moving forward.

Fulla Strength and Conditioning

Congratulations and keep up the amazing work, Suzanna.

Until next time,

Keep training hard.

Jesse
