You Owe It To Yourself

Striving to become your best. To be better than you were yesterday.

This is an attitude, and something you should want displayed from everyone you meet and interact with.

You don't just owe it to the people you come in contact with.

Don’t expect it only from your family, friends, work colleagues and acquaintances...

...it starts with you.

You owe it to yourself, first and foremost.

When you give your all and when you showcase your best.

You know you can feel proud of that effort.

And when you don't give your best, you know you've let yourself (and others) down.

You can’t even look yourself in the eye because you know you didn’t live up to your expectations.

To the level YOU KNOW you’re capable of.

But it starts with you.

Don't be so quick to judge the efforts and actions of others unless you have done the same thing to yourself first.

Self-awareness is a highly valuable skill which will impact not only your body and health, but your career and personal relationships as well.

"Expect more from yourself and less from others".

This means that you can't (and shouldn't) be reliant on others.

Having to lean on and always receive help from others should not be your goal.

In times of crisis, maybe. Sure, you might need some extra help.

But, every day? No.

That is when you must learn to fend for yourself.

To become in total control of your thoughts and know what your body is capable of.

That is when you must develop the strength and capacity to do what needs doing.

There will be times when there is nobody by your side who you can call on to help you.

It is in those times you have only one person you can rely on.

YOU.

Every day, you have a chance to develop into a smarter, stronger, fitter person, and to become a better contributor.

But it starts by taking control of your life and ownership of all that encompasses it.

This includes your health and fitness.

Don't wait for others to make things happen in your life.

Your life will only ever be as good as the thoughts you have, the decisions you make and the actions you take.

If you want better, it comes from within.

At the end of every day, you have to look yourself in the eye and ask, “am I proud of the efforts I put in today?”

If the answer is “yes”, you are one step closer to becoming your best.

If not, then tomorrow you get the chance to put things right and get back on track.

That’s all you can do, win one day at a time.

Capable bodies and great lives are created with your own two hands.

You owe it to yourself to become your best.

Nothing less than your best will ever be good enough.
